SpEd - Book (Virtues, Values and the Very Best You)

Virtues, Values, and the Very Best You is an organised compilation of activities based on the infrastructure of six core universal moral values (i.e., Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Justice and Fairness, Caring, and Civic Virtue and Citizenship), that serve as a “common denominator” in hopes of uniting all people and organisations in our society. They were outlined by a group of twenty-nine youth leaders and educators at what is now known as the “Aspen Conference.”

This book is divided into 8 topic units. The first six correspond to the six core universal moral values. The seventh unit is a summary designed to review and reinforce the concepts presented in the prior six. The eighth is a “Service Learning” unit. All the activities within each unit are designed to be implemented in a logical sequence, but also bear strengths for individual presentation. Included at the end of each activity is a list of “Discussion Questions,” to help involve students in the activities, while promoting responsibility, honesty, integrity, and fairness.
